Step 1 What you need to do first is bring out a good image of someone. Perferably standing with his/her face to the camera. The position is also important. Han Solo was in a very agonising position because he was in pain of the extreme cold. I wanted, for this tutorial, someone who was so "cold" already, she wouldn't feel a thing. I chose Karima Adebibe, because she's hot and in the photo she looked very though... right...

-
Step 2 Add a black-greyish retangle to the screen;

-
Step 3 Add this layer-style;

-
Step 4 Now inside, add a new retangle which is a little lighter;

-
Step 5 Add these layer-styles to it;

-
Step 6 Create a new layer and press D and go to Filter>Render>Cloud and lower the opacity and press CTRL+G to group it with the pevious layer;

-
Step 7 Cut out your render using a desired tool and place it in the middle space;

NOTE: MY RENDER HAD NO LEGS. IN MY CASE THAT WAS A GOOD THING 'CAUSE IF YOU LOOK AT THE SOLO-CARBONITE, THE LEGS ARE ALSO INSIDE THE STATUE ITSELF. IT WAS NO PROBLEM FOR ME TO BRUSH THE LEGS AND THE FEET. IF YOU DO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THIS, PICK A RENDER WITH A FULL-BODY-SHOT :)
-
Step 8 Delete parts where the body is melted inside the carbonite;

-
Step 9 Use a small brush to close the eyes. Do this by using the Eyedropper and selecting a color of the skin. With that color, use a small brush and brush over the eyes making it look like the eyes are realisticly closed;

-
Step 10 Desaturate the render. (I also added my feet. This could have been done in the previous steps as well if your render had no legs, but I chose to do it now)

-
Step 11 On a new layer, take out a blurred brush and brush some black on where the bodyparts will continue inside the carbonite. Make sure you blur them afterwards and lower the opacity;

-
Step 12 Then brush some soft shadow behind the render;

-
Step 13 Make sure the shadow is on 1(!!!) side of the render;

-
Step 14 Lower the opacity of the render;

-
Step 15 Then search google for some mud textures and paste them onto the document;

-
Step 16 Duplicate the clouds-layer and put a Plastic Wrap on it (100% everything) and lower the opacity;

-
Step 17 Put the two on top of each other;

-
Step 18 Then on a new layer above the render, use a small white brush to brush, on 1(!!!) side (oposite of the shadow-side) some lightness. Blur it afterwards;

-
Step 19 Give the Carbonite some shadow on the floor and you're done.
May the Force be with you...
