| Textures: Part 3 |
In part 3 of my texturising-tutorial, I will teach you how to make a texture dissolve into another texture.
Because you can't build an object or a world with just one texture and bad edges. In this tutorial I will teach you how to connect 2 different textures!
Textures 3# Dissolves
Part 3 of the texturising-tutorial: In this part: Make a texture fade into a different texture!
-
Step 1 For this tutorial, I made an extra texture: The tarmac-stone. We will need a document of 384x128. Place one of the textures in the left corner and in the middle, and the other in the right corner and the middle;

-
Step 2 Since this is a stone, we need to break it apart but cutting of some pieces with a desired tool;

-
Step 3 To make it realistic, add a drop-shadow!

-
Step 4 It will come out like this:

-
Step 5 Use a black brush to brush some dirt on a new layer;

-
Step 6 Now lower the opacity;

-
Step 7 Press Ctrl+E and Ctrl+U and play around with the settings;

-
Step 8 And after that, turn on the grid and grab your texture out of there by merging all layers and cropping the selection!
